Description

Levocap 500mg contains Levofloxacin, an antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone group. It works by stopping bacteria from multiplying, helping the body fight infections. Doctors prescribe it for different bacterial infections, but it does not work against colds, flu, or other viral illnesses.

Uses

Levocap 500mg may be prescribed for:

• Respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia or bronchitis)

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Ear infections (including swimmer’s ear)

• Prostate infections

• Pelvic inflammatory disease

• Anthrax exposure (as advised by a doctor)

• Bacterial conjunctivitis (eye infection)

How to Use

• Take the capsule with a full glass of water

• Can be taken with or without food

• Try to take it at the same time each day

• Avoid taking with milk, yogurt, or antacids (take 2–3 hours apart)

• Complete the full course, even if you start feeling better

Side Effects

Some people may notice:

• Stomach upset or nausea

• Headache or dizziness

• Trouble sleeping

• Muscle or joint pain

• Loss of appetite or unusual taste

• Skin rash (rare but serious)

 Stop the medicine and contact your doctor if you develop tendon pain, nerve problems, or irregular heartbeat.

Contraindications

Do not use Levocap 500mg if you:

• Are allergic to Levofloxacin or similar antibiotics

• Have tendon problems or history of tendon rupture

• Suffer from myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness disorder)

• Keep away from light, heat, and moisture
